Soundproofing
Soundproofing is one of the most important steps in this process. We built double walls in the studio rooms and then are layering each room with the Quiet Brace and adding a layer of rubber to the drywall. The ceiling is particularly hard because you have to glue the rubber to the drywall first and then attach this to the ceiling. We ordered about 1,500 pounds of the rubber, just to give you an idea of how heavy this stuff is. The difficulty in this process is that you can't really test anything out until it is all up:) Here's hoping for the best!
John King cutting the Quiet Brace to fit the first wall....
Adam, Chris, and Kyle putting up rubber sheets that go on the second wall...another late night, but they are champs!
Rolling and gluing the rubber on the drywall...this is tedious.
Then, voala! It goes up on the ceiling.
